Enviromental Club

Pitlochry is proud to announce that we are amongst the 350 schools that were awarded an Eco-Schools award for their efforts in 2007, our second Green Flag. Pitlochry is part of the elite club of just over 6000 schools world-wide to get their Green Flag. Currently there are 40 countries participating worldwide and over 21 000 participating schools, countries range from as far as China, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Brazil. We aim to be one of the very elite schools which can maintain its Green Flag status for 5 years and so get our International Green Flag. Pitlochry were commended on the fact that they have involved many different parts of the local community in their programme.

Proudly raising the standard are (Right to left) Mr G T Naidoo, Pitlochry Principal; Nicole Chetty (Gr 5); Mrs Robin McKee (Enviro Club & Eco-Flag co-ordinator); Sohil Parbhu (Gr 7); and Miss Bridget Ringdahl, National Co-Ordinator of Eco-Schools From WESSA, who presented the school with their second flag.
